Thanks for bearing with me lately, boss ladies. Life has been really hectic these last few months, and I haven’t had the same flexibility with posting. If you look closely at the 2nd pic above, you’ll see I’m sporting some gorgeous Evil Eye and Hand of Fatima or Hamsa bracelet arm candy from Alex and Ani. I don’t usually consider myself the superstitious type but a little extra symbolic protection certainly can’t hurt as you maneuver through life’s challenges, right?
On a related note, do you ever find yourself so busy or totally “in the zone” that you forget to eat, hydrate or even just go outside for long periods of time? I swear that if I didn’t have dogs to act as a furry alarm clock I might not ever remember take a break.
Today I want to share with you this hilarious Hangry t-shirt from EnjoyEssential. You may have previewed it on my Instagram feed recently — it’s one of my favorite things to wear at the moment. I am definitely #guilty as charged, because I often forget to feed myself while I’m hustling and the result is not always pretty!
EnjoyEssential creator and fellow boss lady Cady Boughtin began making iron-on onesies as a hobby back in November 2013. Demand for the onesies rapidly grew and Cady decided to sell her onesies on Etsy and expand the business by adding a t-shirt line. As sales multiplied, Cady had the shirts screen printed and quit her marketing job to pursue her clothing business full time! EnjoyEssential.com was born. To this day Cady still handpicks every garment that is printed on and even personally packages every order. In addition, for every t-shirt sold, Cady donates a meal to someone in need—with over 2,000 meals given to a local shelter each month shopped for and put together by Cady herself—now THAT’S customer service.

Cute outfit! I’m loving the accessories.
I have the same issue with forgetting to eat, drink water, etc. I started setting reminders in my phone to walk or take a break, and I’ve found that helps—just don’t ignore them! (Guilty)

Meaghan, that’s a good idea (setting the alerts!) — Do you use an app or just your calendar settings? 😀

I just use the reminders app that comes programmed on iPhones 🙂
