Recover from a Spending Hangover
The holidays can be a total budget killer. All the tinsel and egg nog and festive lights can sometimes confuse us into justifying abnormally excessive shopping behavior, which can kick off a naughty spending habit that follows us into the new year. And it’s not pretty when those credit card bills arrive, am I right?
Happy New Year from TLABL & Nicole Lapin

The new year always marks a time of celebration and renewal. It symbolizes the end of one life chapter and the beginning of a fresh one — both occasions worthy of reflection and perhaps a champagne toast.
As we count down the minutes to 2015, I will be raising my own glass of bubbly and sipping in fond remembrance of the last 12 months and wishing for the year ahead to bring prosperity to us all. May we each be blessed with the unique richness that we seek, be that in mind, body, spirit, family, love, or wallet. Perhaps it’s a combination of all of the above!
Host Brunch Like a Boss Lady
If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve probably had a sneak peek of the fabulous Christmas Pajama-themed Brunch that I attended a couple of weeks ago. This wonderful holiday event was hosted by my friend and fabulous fellow boss lady, Natalie Wong, at her apartment here in Los Angeles. As you’ll see from the photos, her brunch was intimate, cozy, and perfectly staged for maximum comfort and getting into the holiday spirit.

The Three P’s of Dressing for Success
I have a passion for scoring beauty and fashion on a budget. It’s not always out of necessity but rather the principle of it. Ever since I was a teenager, my picks from the clearance racks and drugstore sales bin were most often the ones that garnered the biggest compliments and demands to know “WHERE DID YOU GET THAT???”
Road Tripping to the Infamous Prada Marfa

Earlier this year my friend Rebecca packed up her boss lady bags and decided to relocate from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas. She invited me along as her trusty co-pilot for the journey and I couldn’t say no because I love an adventure and road trips are just such great bonding opportunities. Nothing cements fond memories better than salty corn nuts, beef jerky, and truck stop bathroom breaks. We had an ambitious itinerary and didn’t get to make every stop on our list, but we did manage to uncover some amazing gems along the way.
