If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve probably had a sneak peek of the fabulous Christmas Pajama-themed Brunch that I attended a couple of weeks ago. I will be the first to admit that I LOVE themed parties and dressing in costume, especially if it means I get to break out my officially licensed, Aunt Clara-approved pink bunny suit pajamas from A Christmas Story.
This wonderful holiday event was hosted by my friend and fabulous fellow boss lady, Natalie Wong, at her apartment here in Los Angeles. As you’ll see from the photos, her brunch was intimate, cozy, and perfectly staged for maximum comfort and getting into the holiday spirit.
A little Boss Lady background…
Darby Smart was founded by Nicole Shariat Farb, a former teacher who, “after obtaining her MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business, transitioned to Goldman Sachs, where she became Head of Emerging Private Companies in investment banking. In 2013, she took a leap of faith when she quit her job at Goldman Sachs to start Darby Smart, realizing that she could help DIY designers monetize their passions.”
The concept is really neat. Basically you buy a pre-packaged DIY kit for a specific project, and they mail all the materials and easy instructions right to your door. They have pre-packaged and demystified some of your favorite Pinterest DIY projects including DIY hot sauce kits, chalkboard planters, bedazzled Mason Jars, and everything in between.
I’m highlighting some of my favorite projects below, but Darby Smart is rewarding one lucky reader with an exclusive giveaway only available on my blog. The winner will be selected on 11/12/14 to receive a DIY Bubblegum Making Kit – a super fun project for the family, or a great holiday gift!
